Camping Philosophy
The exploration of the outdoors is important for all children to experience as they learn and grow, and is a vital method for connecting to God's creation. We believe camping encourages collaboration and teamwork among campers and helps foster creative problem solving skills. Campers work together to set up and prepare their campsite with the help of counselors, learn the principles of "Leave No Trace," and learn basic outdoor skills.
Values
An essential part of Shrine Mont Camps is our commitment to exploring God's natural creation. We strive to:
-
Care for creation,
-
Encourage wonder and imagination,
-
Build collaboration and teamwork, and
-
Create empowerment and resilience.
We prioritize the safety and well-being of our campers and our staff is fully trained to ensure a nurturing and secure environment for everyone.
